whats new??? thursday May 1st

Hi Jan, Thanks for opening up the day for us!!!! My secret Pal thing is out and she should recieve it tomorrow. I need to water the lawn before I go to work at 10. Tevia was in and out of the bed all night last night. Now he is sacked out on my bed sleeping. All that prowling around isnt good for a cats sour soul!!!!! Well got to run. Carla 

good morning! sun is shining and it is actually pretty out in my backyard!dunno the temp-but nice! last nite mfound out that 4 of the rosa rugosa we plante dthe other day have died already-we were worried about some-not even whiskers for roots but we planted anyhow--so he calle dthe company last nite mad--they advertised "branched" plants at the price we paid-we got4 of 30 branched -so he complained-not sure what the outcome is on that! i trieed a new recipe last nite for dinner- was yum but the cut of meat was not as tender as we had hoped- it was a london broil as per the recipe--used to always use london broil--this one musta been a mean ol cow not one of those laughing ones that d and i spend our time in the pasture with!!!!!! anyhow--make a marinade of 1/3 cup margarita mix -i used 2/3 cup baja bob's low carb--and cilantro chopped( calls for 1/4 cup--i just chopped a whole lot cuz we love it!) -lime juice( i used 2 limes) and lime zest-salt and cayenne pepper-can add jalapenos  ( i didn't)-and can add garlic but i didn't for some lazy reason--marinate 8 hours or overnite and then grill- medium coals 5-7 mins per side...yummo!!!! i made some veggies with it and we were good to go!!! matter of fact there is enough left for tonite's dinner if i don't get in the frig now! last nite i found my minnie howard nelson--and another cousin!!! so funny- i am typing on a michigan genie board that i need help finding documentation on this one relative--so a gal responds and tells me that her cousin did a genie book in 1976 and gives me the cousin's name and address since cousin doesn't have computer-the name and  address she gives is my 90 yr old gramma--seems that this person who is writing is gramma's cousin!!! so--i now have expanded my universe a bit more!!!fun!!! cousin is 3 years older than me. roxie has been out twice and is now sleeping behind me in the computer chair--we had a restless nite and i am praying that michael got at least some sleep- today would be my 32 wedding anniversary to hubby number one-ouch- always a bittersweet day--the good is our wonderful children and grands...won't dwell on the bad-not worth it!!!! well- needing to get my buttocks in gear to do something-anything--but wanted to say hello! jan thanks for getting us started! my plants downstairs are getting leggy in their l"Dora the explorer" il paper cups-cannot wait to get them outside!!! hugs to all-prayers if you need tehm! oh-today is fran's surgery?? Margo, The reference to the mean ol cow brought back memories of my Mom. She loved salami but would always insist on a taste before buying any. She said that the butchers often used an OLD BOAR HOG and she didn't want any part of that salami. Guess you can't ask for a taste of London Broil first.

well im back up, I was suppose to go to doc for more labs this morning but i forgot till right this minute,and have already drank my first protein drink. and im sure they said NPO so will wait till morning to go. I had all of it drawn the other day was like 16 tubes she took and they called and said they forgot to do B6 level good grief what did they do with all of that ? drink it?  vampires!! It is 63 here this morning and sun is out but we are suppose to have storms tomorrow or starting tonight i think. I have all my flowers about planted except for my pots that i always fill with petunias and other combinations to sit around to fill in color where there is lacking at the time. I move these around all summer . My iris are beginning to bloom will be in full force in about 2 weeks .  lots of other things are loaded with buds that are in the process of opening too.  Today more of getting into the dirt and watering new seedlings etc. my hands stay a permanet stain of green and brown in the spring lol  hope all are doing well this morning take care  sorry about the colder weather my cold weather friends. 

Goooood Mooooorning all! I hope that so far the day is a great one for everyone. The sun is shinning and it looks like a nice spring day. Later on I think they are calling for rain but for now I am going to take the sun and be glad. I am not sure what the temps are going to be today but I don't think they are going to be to high. But at least the sun is shinning and that is not a good thing but a GREAT thing.  My back is hurting so bad today I can hardly stand it. It started out as muscle spasms and now it is just plain old bad pain. I just going to stay home and stay low while it is bothering me.  Bill is working days again today and I like that. Unfortunately he doesn't always think it is a good thing. I always told him that if he worked days on a regular basis he would get use to getting up so early in the morning and they wouldn't bother him so bad. I just wish that he could work days all the time. I like them. But then again I guess they aren't always suppose to my feelings. Darn it! I better get going. I have gone on and on again. brenda did you meet your candidate???

No I didn't get to meet her but there was 3 times as many people as they thought would be there. They were thinking of 500 and there was over 1,500 of them. I got to work my butt off for her though. I did get a good picture of her thanks to one of the volunteers getting on a chair and taking my camera. She was great again. I did see her before and Bill wanted to leave right away because of the crowd but then found out that she stayed and signed autographs and talked and he was mad at himself. Oh well, what is a lowly volunteer to do? :-)

i am so envious..i did not get to even see her when she wa sin this area a few times--dang it!!! i take a lot of heat about teh sign in my front yard!! this is a very other party geographic area... oh well....glad taht you got to go!!!!!
